Yong publishes his new diffusion technique

PhD candidate Yong Kim has published his work on measurement of diffusion coefficients in porous materials in the International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer. The beauty of this technique is that it uses a radial sample holder, and gas diffuses in from the entire circumference, meaning that no sealant or gaskets are are required to maintain the desired boundary conditions around the sample. This arrangement means that it can accommodate very thin samples, such as porous coatings or catalyst layers. Lab work can be so tiring sometimes, so a big congratulations to Yong for all the hard work!
